Gary has had a long-time interest in astronomy since childhood. Cynthia and Gary constructed the observatory in 2006-2007. In addition to enjoying the observatory themselves, they also like to share their passion for astronomy with kids and adults.
Here is our Observatory Director, David. His main job is managing the collaboration with the Bay School, which involves managing field trips, and helping students to operate the hardware and software safely.
Much of the time, the astronomers are students from the Bay School. We try to bring real-world astronomy experiences to these high school students.
